Godcore Rap

Ok I need to get this out of my system before I get into the rhythm of my new poetry class. We are not going to be allowed to write anything but free verse (tear drop). So I decided I needed some straight doctor suess rhymes to make up for the semester of poetry lacking musicality. I came up with this rap. Enjoy (or something).

Don’t ever doubt me
Or my divinity
A star will always shine
Even if you cant see

You think you’re hardcore
I think I’m godcore
Your yelling “please stop”
Im yelling “encore”

You want a Lexus
I want a nexus
Between the universe
And my nerve plexus

You can not stand the pain
It’s driving you insane
I turn it into stairs
To reach a higher plane

Well whatever your class says you can always post dr seussy poems on the cup =)

They call me the Hiphopopotamus
Flows that glow like phosphorous
Poppin' off the top of this esophagus
Rockin' this metropolis
I'm not a large water-dwelling mammal
Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis?
Did Steve tell you that, perchance?
Steve.

I could totally hear Jemaine rapping your piece after i read your comment!

hehe, ya Ive been inspired since I watched that episode. like not poem inspired, rap inspired, to rap just some wile out shit. this was my version of that. Of course I see myself as Jermaine and Gary is Bret. I saw the first episode of the season on HBO. It was funny! Those guys man, they have a strange sense of humor.
