In me

Don’t ever doubt
In me
Sun always rises
A promise renewed
In me
The prophets believed
The change that we need
In me
Circles within circles
Timeless knowledge
Sacred secrets whispered under the stars
The truth within lies
In me
Dark days and bright nights
Lust for love
The desire to fly
Childish dreams
In me
Have died and been replaced
With patience
Lost angels cry to give the city rain as
Sorrow tattoos my sins across my back
They form
A road map to the infinite
In me
Buddha and Jesus live
Laughing as I realize
There are no mistakes!
Each step we ever took was always one step
Closer to God
In me

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

In his first week as the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama has so far failed to disappoint, making several important executive orders. Here's some of the highlights:

Obama Seeks Halt to Legal Proceedings at Guantanamo
President Obama freezes WH staff salaries
Obama signs the orders closing Guantanamo prison
Obama Reaffirms FP Campaign Pledges
Obama Overturns Bush Records Secrecy Order

By far a very eventful week! Hopefully the rest of his first hundred days are as constructive in fixing the mistakes of the last regime. My favorite act by far, and also the most unexpected, I think is the over-turning of the secrecy order. No one but the president himself should ever have the authority to claim executive privilege. On top of all that he also re-took the oath of office to shut up people like the ever douchey Chris Wallace. Stay classy fox!

Godcore Rap

Ok I need to get this out of my system before I get into the rhythm of my new poetry class. We are not going to be allowed to write anything but free verse (tear drop). So I decided I needed some straight doctor suess rhymes to make up for the semester of poetry lacking musicality. I came up with this rap. Enjoy (or something).

Don’t ever doubt me
Or my divinity
A star will always shine
Even if you cant see

You think you’re hardcore
I think I’m godcore
Your yelling “please stop”
Im yelling “encore”

You want a Lexus
I want a nexus
Between the universe
And my nerve plexus

You can not stand the pain
It’s driving you insane
I turn it into stairs
To reach a higher plane

Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device

If only we all had boyfriends who loved us enough to make us cool ass video game gun replicas. Found at Kotaku. There's more pictures there to see the lights at different angles.

In WoW news, Blackelk appears to be in a state of limbo. He is no longer on the Ghostlands realm, but has not yet made it back to Uther. I expect he'll be back in action in the next day or so with stories of his terrible experience with his gold stealing captors and heroic rescue by slow Blizzard employees. When asked to comment on this ordeal Blackelk responded "Them gold bastards is fast. Real fast. They had a sack over me 'ead and bundled me off faster than you could say Durotar. Not like them Blizzard bastards. They is slower to respond than FEMA. I was nekked on Ghostlands realm for days with no water nor a friend in the world." Our hearts go out to Blackelk in these trying times and we ask Blizzard to bring our orc home!

A new day...sort of =)

Hey all, looks like we have a new president, yay! Boy, that was some inauguration, Aretha Franklin, Yo-Yo Ma, Chaney, Obama, Clinton! Anyways, I loved the speech, loved the poem and the benediction from Rev. Lowery

Especially this part of the Benediction:

"Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right."
- Rev. Joseph Lowery

And while not a spiffy turtle vid the following may seem oddly familiar but re-imagined for a new erra...

Watch more videos of TF2

So in case you need your memory jogged, here's the original post with heavy influence from the old regime.

And if the inauguration of Barak Obama or TF2 "where is DAV team?" dance video didn't bring utter bliss and joy to your heart then I weep for you...or more specifically, Neil Patrick Harris weeps for you...
