Now This Is An Album Cover

You challenged me Lorigga! Hehe =D

Cute furry thing of the day =)

This little guy is a tuco-tuco, a South American herbivorous gopher type rodent. They are primarily solitary burrowing animals, and other than having a silly name, I can't really find any spectacular facts about them. Uh... apparently they have six nipples. Yeah, that's about it.

Crow's Bay area pics

Crows's bay area visit pics are up on MySpace. You know, until I finally get my own in-house image gallery up and running. Anyways, go check them out!

In The Text: I Trained Him. He Bit Me.

I must confess, this will be my third time reading Jhereg. I'm usually very anti reading the same book over again (ask Sydny), I dunno I'm weird like that I guess. However this book is one of the few exceptions. It's not his best written, as it was his first book published back in '83, but it is an excellent introduction to Vlad Taltos' adventures in Dragaera. I think one of the reasons I'll prolly be rereading this book for years to come is Brust's way of casually dropping information that at first pass you don't even notice. Already 5 chapters in, I'm gleaming subtle hints about future events that I hadn't really noticed or thought about on my first read through. And it's not that the book is filled with passages that make no sense, but that the delivery can hold several meanings with a verbal sleight of hand directing you away from the insight. My next post will fill in some background information on Dragaeran society. I wish you all "long life and good hunting" =)

p.s. I must say I am offended that Europe gets way cooler images on the covers of their fantasy books. The above is from the french version of Jhereg and is completely evil and badass looking. /jealousy

Bitch be trippin balls.

I've been pretty M.I.A from the blog. Rest assured, I'm watching, reading, learning. Taking the What way of doing things around here. Some of us have to serve as the audience every now and again.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this comic, good ol VGcats...

And for those of you who weren't around for CS:Source fun last night I just have to say a couple of things:

-You will never know the glory of the bitch boat.
-Nor will you know what it feels like to be surrounded by poontang.
-And Jim Henson used his balls to make puppets.

And one last thing. This failblog post is priceless. Pure gold.

Caravan Tours

I was doing research on the pyramid trip. The first thing I found seemed really cool! Its called Caravan Tours at caravan.com and it runs a Mexico Aztec/Myan Ruin tour that last 8 days, sees about 4 different ruins, and costs only 998 bucks! It includes dinners and lunches, bus fair, but Im unclear if hotel fair is included, and I know that air fair is not. A bit steep to say the least but Im committed to doing it the right way so I plan on saving money from this tax return, and on every preceding check, so that next year Ill be able to afford it. Hopefully the rate stays about the same. Obviously Ill be continuing to look for better rates, or better tours. Here is a link

http://www.caravantours.com/Tours/mexico-ancient-tour.html

check it out! Cant wait to see this trip happen. I know one way or another well work it out. Peace.

"Art" at work

For your enjoyment, here are some of the drawings I made for Lisa's cubicle. I also have a lovely diagram of the carbon cycle and a picture of lunch-type food that she made for me. And yes, those are migratory chickens. The little guys in front of the castle were supposed to be microbes from Moyashimon, but they didn't turn out right, so I don't know what they are.

And here is one from the day after the pillow fight in SF. The postit is actually fluorescent orange, but I guess our scanner sucks.

Things I learned from the Bay

Photobucket

These are some things that I learned from visiting the Bay recently.

Saul Williams is the shit! I will have to go out of my way to see him whenever I can arrange it.

Ron and Syd's house is amazing! One of the coolest views that I have ever enjoyed while still being in the comfort of someones home. It obviously rivals my own view here in Sylmar, and for me thats saying a lot. Nice job with finding that place it is very comfy and chill. I look forward to visiting again soon just to see that view and the wonderful trees with all the cool crows and other animals.

Medicine balls can provide much more entertainment than Chinese masters could have ever imagined.....

Slims is fucking small and they need some better cups.

Smash Bros Brawl is fucking fun! Yay Nintendo!

Rasputin still has the best deals for Doors cds in all of the state. (Listening to Strange Days right now!)

Fudge is evil.

Kelly the diaper dog is really cute and was vastly misrepresented by ppl who shall be nameless. I guess it could suck living with a dog when your not used to having to put up with its bs, but as far as visits are concerned the dog was some quality entertainment.

Stefanie is crazy! And very funny, mostly because of how annoyed she can make Ron. Normally I dont appreciate others misfortune, but I have a younger sibling myself, so I know that all that fighting is just love. Ron can deny it, but I wont believe him.

Sydney seems bound and determined to take someones stick away and use it against them.

The Bay still loves me and always will.

Christ's love is now rejoice!/A promise has been kept.

The Imperial Palace does not have a dragon on the outside! (although I get points for it having some one the inside...)/Sydney is a psychic navigator (Ron calls it being able to speak Fool)

last but not least

I am reminded how much fun it is to actually chill in person with all the members of the brigade at once, cant wait for April! Yosemite Falls here we come!

No Anime Night This Evening

Well we'll not be enjoying any new anime tonight as it's spring break at UCB. Instead enjoy this cool hellsing pic courtesy of the new ova being delayed and me trying to find out what's going on.
