This is a message from your emergency broadcast system...
So...you may have noticed things looking a little wonky today here in the cup. I assure you, it's not the shit. I've just been playing with layout options. Seeing as how the vote went out to change the color scheme, I figured it was time to start toying with it. Who would have guessed the right nav bar would get thrown for a loop!
So, no worries, once we've found something that works, we'll fix it all up.
Also, I'm very much considering getting www.in-the-cup.com and installing wordpress software. I've heard AMAZING things about it. Plus! It's open source, which means we could tailor it to OUR liking!
what do you guys think about that? I can look into what it takes to backup our posts and see if there's a way to convert it to wordpress. tell me what you think in the sips!
Mascot Failure!
This little clip comes courtesy of the failblog.
You know, it's really easy to forget there's someone in these suits...which totally made it harder for me to contain my laughter. Particularly when the song reaches the words "so you've had a bad day" which match exactly with footage of a mascot slamming into a basketball hoop backboard...yes, yes he did have a bad day. As well as all the other shmucks in furry suits.

Ummm....wanna see what the camera sees as lighting strikes it, enters your right hand, exits your left hand, and hits the rail you're holding onto? link

Its the time (From my heart version)
The painting is entitled "Buddha" by Octavio Ocampo
If anyone desires the old version I can post in a sip but I think this is more what I had in mind to begin with, or should I say this is more what I had in heart......
Flames ignite within my heart
Signaling its time to start
Rethinking the ancient art
Even writers play their part
Someone has to share the dream
For it to be reality
So I’ll share my dream with you
Birds did fly in skies of blue
And everyone you ever knew
Was part of one eternal truth
All were united as One
Sins of mankind were undone
Love reigned supreme once again!
No one was without a friend
Nobody had to pretend
Everything perfectly Zen
Prince of Peace reclaimed his place
Baring Buddha’s smiling face
A couple of random items...
Glad everyone is back to the blog...
So, I love Firefox 3. I've only had one major complaint until now. Thats the annoying "This site does not supply identity information" tooltip that pops up when I'm dragging a site icon from the address bar into a bookmark folder. Essentially,m this tooltip blocks my toolbar folder icons and disables me from conveniently bookmarking a site.
So I finally found a solution:
In your address bar, type "about:config"
search for "browser.chrome.toolbar_tips"
Double click the entry to set it to false.
Then rejoice that that pesky toolbar tip wont rear it's ugly head.
In other news, last week I hit a parked car while riding my bike. I completely slammed into the rear-view mirror and swiped it off clean. I blame marmots. This was their first attempt on my life. I'm scared. Not really. I was fine, just kind of hurt my elbow when I fell. And it will cost $200 - $300, yes, I found the car owner and am waiting for the final price...sigh...
And my mother is so supportive. When she heard about my misshap, her first words were "I knew he was going to hit something!" thanks mom. Have I ever told you guys, when I told my mom I was breaking up with Vicki and would be single again, she promptly responded "Welcome to the club!" LOL, that's my mom...
Crow, photobucket was down for maintenance last night I'll check out those pix asap.
Moose, I'm taking a french class on thursdays from 6:30 - 8:30 every thursday through August. So we'll have to figure out the gym stuff soon.
