Today at work I...

* Found out that they're actively trying to get me promoted, yay! (now we just have to see how many months it takes the paperwork to straggle through the bureaucracy)

* Got to use my boss's office because he's on vacation, he has the only functional computer with a program I had to use, and because it has a window. Sadly, no deer or turkeys or goats on the hillside today.

* Found mystery fruit on the free stuff table and it was actually ridiculously good. I think it might be some sort of red plum thing that tastes like juicy red happiness.

* Had to resort to drinking coffee because tea wasn't doing anything. It did not taste like juicy red happiness. Had to drink more tea to get rid of the coffee taste. Had to pee a lot. People actually enjoy this crap? Blargh...

Ever heard of Banksy?

Curious if you guys have ever hear of Banksy. I've been following Banksy related stories for some time. He's a street artist. Well, guerrilla street artists to be correct.





As you can see, much of his work has meaning. Check out this page for more pics. I like the fact that some of them are just great placement of figures, usually commenting on some aspect of shared space or modern culture. But sometimes he takes it beyond that, such as the placement of a Guantanamo bay detainee figure in a Disneyland ride!

Ive been wanting to buy a book with a bunch of his art (he's got a lot!) and always enjoy seeing his work when it pops up on the net. If you're curious about learning more, check out his wikipedia entry.

I've really been digging this form of street art. How it pushes human expression in the urban environment. The proper placement of the right image can affect so many people when they walk by.

Just wanted to check in and find out when you'll be getting California powers. I couldn't remember if it was this Thursday or next Thursday. If you want to wear the state flag as a cape, I think I'm okay with that. And the cowboy hat and badge. We just got the marriage license dealy-bobber yesterday, so now we just need powers and to get our butts up the mountain.

Winky 2.0

Yo. So heres what went down. This weekend I lost my keys and my cellphone on a ride at Magic Mountain. Its wack attack but in all honesty it could be worse. For one I got my keys back. I had already paid a locksmith to make me a duplicate but when he realized that I really had no need for his services he cut me a deal and took it off the records. So now I have two spare keys and I wont have to worry about being stuck if I somehow lose my keys again. For some weird reason after he worked on my car, by taking off one of my door panels to get to the key number (all they need is a number and than they can duplicate any key, its actually kind of cool!) my automatic door no longer works on the passanger side. The even weirder part is that the locksmith came out to my house in Sylmar to check and see what he did wrong but after taking off my door panel for a second time and checking everything out, all indications show that the auto lock should be working, everything is plugged in, and no electrical wiring was touched by the locksmith during either operation. Its just a weird fluke! I take it as a sign that my car is not the Batmobile, but is in fact Winky 2.0. Its no longer all new and spiffy, now I have to manually let people in to the shotgun, just like before, so now its officially Winky 2.0. At least this one doesnt have ignition issues! So ya, after 24 hours of madness it seems that Im only out a phone. No big deal. But it means that if you try to call (or if you did try to call on Saturday) that I wont be able to get back to you. I should be on Skype often though. My computer is not doing so well right now, but until it dies Im willing to play. Maybe even tonight? Perhaps some phone calls are in order, but it will have to be from my house phone. Wah wah wah wah. It seems Im for an upgrade in August so Ill most likely just wait and get a free phone rather than fork out dough now. You know whats kind of strange though?, I actually got my keys back from Magic Mountain after I had lost them on a roller coaster and I cant help but feel that me visualizing that return helped to enact the reality. The whistle is all beat up now, I think it fell like over 100 feet. Hehe. Oh and extra by the way, X2 is the shit! Just not worth 3 hours. Hope everyone is doing well. Peace
