Cute furry thing of the day =)
Today's cute furry thing is the harbor seal. It's like a big furry slug with spots! Various types of harbor seal ("common seal" in Europe) are found along virtually all coasts in the northern hemisphere. They eat all sorts of fish and ocean critters and are fat and cute. They tend to stay close to shore and haul out in large groups, like by the mouth of the Russian River, where Steve likes to play with dead birds. Eww.

That seal totally got caught humping the rock. Look at that guilty face....
See what global warming has done! Poor seals, needing to hump rocks...and hating themselves for it.
I also see those seals near Carpenteria CA. Its a nice little beach town on the coast. I didnt see any seals that time that I used that bird wing for art. It wasnt playing. hehe
