Today's cute furry thing is the zebra-leg tarantula. You get a generic picture because I don't have any digital pictures of mine (Cameron is at least that fat, Mom overfeeds her). This little fuzzball can get to about the size of your hand, live for 20 or so years (mine's probably 14, had her about 12 years and she was big when I got her), eats whatever ground dwelling bugs it can get its fangs on, and likes to burrow. And mine used to like to watch TV, but I think she's gone a bit feral since her running away and hiding in the bathroom cabinet incident. And they can lay eggs after not having humped anything for over a year. Tricky little buggers.

wtf? after a year. dude talk about wanting to be a mom. geez. and no picture of yours? que que? why not? I insist upon this picture being posted within the next few months as Im sure youl have some chance to take one.
I just leave her alone in her burrow for the most part now. I might be able to get a shot of her furry butt sticking out. She'll hide for a couple weeks and Mom will says she thinks Cameron died and I go look and I'm like "no, no I saw a butt in the window."
She got real pissed when I took those eggs from her. I would have left it, but the conditions weren't right and the egg sack had started molding. She hissed and jumped the big spoon I was using to snag the eggs. I was real glad I had decided not to just grab it with my hand.
