The Greatest Ass-venture

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

So today I learned the hard way, never ever to wear my favorite slippers on the stairs. Exhibit A shows the large hole my foot put into the wall. Exhibit B shows the bowl that broke and spilled milk everywhere. I will save you all from Exhibit C, which would be my bruised tailbone, by not documenting it. It's not really the slippers fault though, my big feet and the smallish type stairs did nothing to help the situation. So, who here has repaired a wall before?

Yeah... wow thats a hole... good job with that one man.

I haven't repaired a while in a wall before but I have watched while one was being repaired.

Basicly you want to get a section of sheetrock the size that you need (larger then cut down).
Anchor it to the wall (find a stud nail in at least 2 places)
then spackle and paint.

Impressive though glad to hear it wasn't fatal for anything other than the wall and bowl

what if there isn't sheet rock in the wall in question? it's paper thin, literally looks like some white poster-board with paint over it.

well you wouldn't want to make the wall stronger thats for sure next time you smash though it i could seriously injure your foot/ass

if you just want to cover it up I'd up you might want to try some other plaster technique. Cloth dipped in liquid plaster type. Only problem is that you'll have that texture unless you plaster over it a good deal.

Check the interwebs man theres got to be something out there on cheap ass home repair.
