Ground Control to David Bowie

Hey guys, here I am in Deep space 9 transmitting a signal from David Bowie's nipple!

Just informing the cup community that I am indeed alive and well. Not too necessary considering that I've chatted with Crow and Moose over the last couple of days.

I guess I just felt like sharing with everyone that I'm in love. In love in a way which I've never experienced. As I've mentioned to people here and there, it's magical and both of us have wished for an experience like this. But we're living it. We both feel on a VERY deep level that we're each other's compliments. We have our intuitions about it all, but at the very least we know that we have a solid start for our relationship. We've gotten blessings from family, friends, and co-workers. Every moment I've spent with this woman has been bliss. I've done something right in my life to give myself the opportunity to experience these last few weeks and just kind of innately know there are many more to come.

So I'll be posting less, but hope to post something non-update/love related sometime this week.

Im not ashamed to say that I already miss you guys a lot. I stayed so long this time I started getting comfortable, as if I was there to stay. I started getting back into my Bay flow, Moose saw before he dropped me off that I was getting a little teary eyed at the Marina, because as I told him, as I was walking around Berkeley earlier that morning to go buy my orange juice I was just really happy to be alive, and the way the sun peaks through the trees is very Berkeley, and very soothing, and I felt in my heart "this place is your home". I got teary because I realized at the Marina that although it may always be my "home" L.A. is where I reside. After having been back I just have to admit, I think this is where I need to be! I am happy as fuck right now. Getting school done, getting to know a wonderful girl, just living life ya know? Still, I miss you guys, Im glad for the net, but nothing beats being able to actually reach out and high five, or tea-bag as it were, and seeing the smile on your faces when I make my crazy remarks, as opposed to skype where I have to imagine the smiles. After all is said and done this is all I really want to get across. Even if were not close physically I feel as if you all right here with me as I go off on my world wind adventures. And I thank you all so much for being my friends and for sharing this mysterious glorious path towards the Infinite with me.

Not quite pee-ku

Hi all. In my few minutes of down time between trying to keep Larry from actually freaking out and running in circles about the class he's teaching, I found economic haikus. This one, about the classic prisoner's dillema, is probably my favorite so far:


"A friend and I, jailed
We agreed to stay silent

Mr. Watanabe's biggest adventure yet!

Mr. Watanabe is undergoing his biggest adventure yet. The adventure started on a surprise voyage to Los Angeles, where Mr. Watanabe underwent an extremely dangerous mission involving late night doughnuts and somersaults with a very dangerous operative codenamed "Schrodinger's Girl." He barely survived the mission...

Soon after Mr. Watanabe found himself in a casino hotel relaying secret messages to the operative known as "Schrodinger's Girl." "Schrodinger's Girl" proceeded to pose an enticing offer, one which he could not refuse...regardless of the danger.

He continued to exchange secret messages with "Schrodinger's Girl" up until the day of the mission...

That's where his greatest adventure begins. After a long day in the field, "Schrodinger's Girl" proceeded to offer Mr. Watanabe a Cosmic Heart. At that point he realized he was about to embark on his greatest mission. He would choose to guard that cosmic heart to his fullest abilities for as long as he was given the honor to do so...

Through the rest of the weekend Mr.Watanabe found himself changing his world, battling spirits, and painting with Frida Kahlo. All with the help of his new (and best) partner in crime, "Schrodinger's Girl."

Have You Seen This Man?

Gone missing since last Thursday, Lorenzo, or as he is known in his more notorious circles Mr Watanabe, was last seen at Anne's Cafe on Telegraph. Witnesses report that he seemed in good cheer and had a big appetite. A local and frequent patron of Anne's had this to say:

"He just leapt up from the table and roared. Then took off flying into the sky shaking his mane wildly. I'd never seen anything like it."

The authorities have recently pardoned him of all crimes at the request of his family and friends in order to see him safely home. The only lead they have is a wikipedia link sent by an anonymous tipster.
