In other news, from this post on C&L:
United States interrogators killed nearly four dozen detainees during or after their interrogations, according a report published by a human rights researcher based on a Human Rights First report and followup investigations.
In all, 98 detainees have died while in US hands. Thirty-four homicides have been identified, with at least eight detainees — and as many as 12 — having been tortured to death, according to a 2006 Human Rights First report that underwrites the researcher’s posting. The causes of 48 more deaths remain uncertain.
In a related article on C&L we find that:
The Justice Department continues to insist on total control over the investigation of its own attorneys and department in a clear conflict of interest.
To finish it all off lets move on to some happy news! Maine has become the 5th state in the country to allow gay marriage after Maine Governor John Baldacci signed a bill yesterday afternoon. Now if only CA could get the ever disgusting Prop 8 overturned. And from our gay friends at GayGamer we have this awesome gaming news of the day:

I dont think I have pictures quite as cool as the ones you got Moose, but Ill share what I got. I'll send them on disk when I send Syd's b-day gift. Actually that little bundle should be quite surprising for all!
Hope things are well for all you Northerners.
Hmmm... a surprising bundle eh? Now I'm intrigued. We'll try to get pics from Dan and burn them all and ship them south.
So has everybody got the blizzard account shizzo set up to be starcraft beta capable? (btw this also sets you up for Diablo and WC future betas). The main things you have to do are:
1. Make a Blizzard account.
2. Link a Blizzard game you purchased to it.
3. Opt in for Beta access, by running a little program that sends Blizz your hardware specs.
and then you're done!
