Yosemite
So I think we've got four cuppers going on this trip. Maybe. I hope. Someone better tell me by the time I get off work so I get enough supplies. Unless there are huge objections, I will just get the usual burgers, hot dogs, burrito/taco things, sandwich supplies, eggs, potatoes, cereal/oatmeal, produce/healthy snacks for food. I'll probably try to snag some chips and drinks too (either soda or gatorade powder). Feel free to bring along any snacky things you think you might want (goldfish, cookies, booze, etc). Dan, don't forget the paper towels or you will personally be used to absorb messes. Well, probably not, you aren't terribly absorbant, but I will be sad. Steve, if you can manage to come, could you pick up a box of firewood on your way in? We're in Hodgdon Meadows, not Upper Pines, so don't go into Pines trying to find us because we won't be there. And from the looks of the weather forecast, waterproof stuff seems like a good idea.

I will call, but just for the now, I could bring a box of firewood, and will, Im willing to put in on groceries, site, or whatever else you feel is appropriate. Im broke, but everyone is, so Ill shoulder the cash. :) Ill also try and nab my dad's stove, Ill call tonight with details, I have to speak with one professor, but Im not asking her, Im telling her I have to go. Expect me.
by the way, I love how Star Trek has now become an event. With Mexico out of the question at this point all we have to look forward to is seeing Captain Kirk whip the shit out of aliens and mack out on the fine ones. Eh, works for me. For now.....now next year...that's another story. That vacation is not canceled, just postponed. For now, Yosemite calls (soon after Yellowstone....)
Stove isn't really necessary. I'm perfectly happy using mine, but let me know so we don't end up with an extra one.
I like mine, its a real stove, not a backpacking thingie ma jigger. So Ill bring mine. but you might still want yours, youl be there one extra night than I will. Just now I realized that that could effect a lot because usually we all leave together. I guess anything Im bringing count on it only being available for a couple of days. Wood and stuff like that should be no prob though.
Sorry, I was busy fighting with hamburger meat when you called. Bring the stove if you want. What I have is a slightly smaller version of it, not the wonky backpacking thing (I HATE that thing, and it doesn't like me much either) If you're going to want mustard or mayo for sandwiches and burgers, you'll need to bring it because we don't have any. Are you going to be able to bring the tent you usually use? If not, you can use my dome tent. A mostly empty ice chest with some ice would be good if you're planning to bring drinks. I did get some gatorade powder, so there will be that if nothing else.
I'm sad I didn't get to comment on Steve's mystery morning =) at least you woke up in bed alone...could have been a LOT worse.
Moose, would you object to taking a small stuffed animal in my place? I wouldn't ask you to hike with it, but take a few nature pictures =) You know, like that traveling gnome thing, but not a gnome because they're dirty. I'll doctor it up and drop it off later after you return from the polls.
Had to fix this picture. was driving me crazy.
