Let it burn

Houses consumed by the unforgiving onslaught from wave after wave of hell's embers
Pine trees become candles in the night,
Dancing in the wind like beacons of victory for chaos
Fire men running for their lives looking back over their shoulders
In horror
Their water hoses melting into the sidewalk
They know how Lot felt before she turned into salt
Sometimes its best not to look back
Let it burn!
I was baptized in fire lifetimes ago
The heat within the flames contains more healing than cool water
Wild brush upon the noble mountain ablaze
Creates
Some sick Satan signature written in brimstone ink
Burning brilliantly against the black sky to revel the stars
And cast fear in our hearts
Let it burn
The fire in my heart will not be extinguished
So let the city burn down around me
Ashes to ashes
The children rebuild

Google map of the fire...

I see the horse shoe shape you're referring to. My gosh...I guess those hills were ripe for fire this season.

If you get a chance, I'd love to hear stories about your friends that are affected. Regardless, I'm going to be driving down this weekend so we'll have to meet up. Maybe get a beer...

LMAO! Haven't heard a pun like that since the last time I played WoW with Ulric. And I dont remember when that was.

Did you actually see firehoses melting into the sidewalk? The imagery is sick! keep up the good work!

I did see hoses melting into the ground but it was on the news. I was real close to the fire but I wouldnt have gotten that close to the fire crews and their equipment, I was watching the news and they were showing the firefighters running for their lives and zooming in to show that their hoses were melting into the sidewalk. it was sick.
