Tomorrow is election Day! If you haven't already voted via absentee or early voting make sure you go do it! Hopefully props 4,6,8, and 9 will all be put down, and we won't have a third term of BushCo. I'll be working the polls all day long here in Berkeley and hopefully helping everything go smoothly. To the coffee drinkers out there, Starbucks is giving away free coffee all day tomorrow as long as you tell them you voted. Also the internet is giving away free copies of Cave Story to voters! Well technically it's free for anyone... shhh! The game and translation patch can be found at this tribute site. Cave Story is a platformer/shooter kinda in the same vein as metroid. It's not a super long game as if one new what they were doing they could prolly beat it in a day, but it is amazingly deep with cool little gameplay aspects, like being able to propel yourself into the air by shooting downward. I'm been playing it a little here and there and am finally at the end. THe last boss gauntlet is kinda tricky though. I've already died after two attempts but I think I got the pattern strategy down, so my next try will have a higher chance of success. If you try it and don't like it i'll eat my hat. unless of course i'm not wearing a hat at the time...
