So I dont think agressive has a "broad" definition Syd. Judging from the first definition the word is clearly used to define offensive behavior, not just being out spoken. Sorry, hate to say I told you so, Im just bored and trying to kill time before I have to go get deputized. Good morning all, now was posting this "aggressive" read the definition and you be the judge.

Yeah, pretty sure what I meant was along the lines of "assertive" (and probably not the primary definition of that), which while a synonym, is not entirely the same thing. I will freely admit that I don't always use words in their most common context, and probably just plain wrong sometimes. When I'm writing and I need a different word for something, we've discovered that it's most useful if Ron either suggests the exact opposite or "ham sandwich." Maybe that says something about my brain dealing with words. I can't really tell, since I'm in my brain and all. Are you really this bored? hehe If so, I request an ode to your fallen cell phone to go with your new cell phone poem.
ya, I guess I knew you meant assertive, perhaps I am just a little too bored. Did I ever mention how brilliant I think you are Syd? Just wouldnt want to get anything misconstrued, I would never doubt your capabilities with the English language. Syd=sensei so perhaps Im acting like a little kid in the back of the class who just noticed that the teacher just made a mistake on the black board and he absolutely has to point it out to the teacher because he assumes it will bring him higher in her esteem, only to realize after the fact that she was just mostly annoyed and not impressed. hehe, Im just showing off to my sensei, please notice me Im smart too. hehe. sometimes I feel like a giant child with way too much knowledge of the world for my own age. sooo ode to lost phone is in order ehhh, lets see what I can work up.
uhhh...can we get a little context? I mean, when the blog has a definition and a "I hate to say I told you so" there's a whole bunch of people in the cafe that have no clue what's going on. We're like those people that over hear a conversation and make up stories because we have nothing more to go off of...
anyways, I'm going to aggressively assert that YOU"RE BOTH WRONG! I have no idea what I'm objecting to but I'm bored to! So there! HAHAH!
Now back to altering the lion vid to include the mauling I expected. I'm going to make the lion aggressive, you see what I did there?
Why do I feel my foot in my mouth? eww...
This was from random babbling during warcraft about sagitarius / dragon (from the Dragaera books) tendencies, where my brain made the jump from "aggressive in battle" (dragon trait) to "assertive (in other aspects of life) / outspoken" without informing any of us of any in between logic, and led to a discussion of what was actually meant by "aggressive." And now you know as much as anyone else.
Leave the poor lions alone, they're happy. I'm sure you can find a mauling if you really want one. The internet is a big scary place.
I'm also somewhat curious about these stories in the cafe.
you know what the funny part about this is?
When I first read the post Crow put up my first thoughts were:
Total Sag move, we just loooovveee verbal confrontation. The good thing is that we don't care too much in the end...it's like astrological pre-disposition to bickering and arguing.
I once over heard a lady talking about her abusive ex-boyfriend who came to her house at 3am asking for her to take him back...
I also remember over hearing an argument between a performance artist and a non-profit person. I think the artist was being contracted to make a presentation about arts and youth but didn't want to sacrifice artistic integrity to conform the the standards the non-profit person was trying to impose. Cause you know, the suits with the money are going to have certain expectations on a presentation and may not understand where the artist is coming from.
I could go on...
