The only mohawk monkey I could find is this guy, and the article about it is from 2006, saying that it is the first new monkey genus discovered in 83 years. So your monkey was cool, 2 years ago. I still like the weird snout guy better. I can't find a good picture of the mohawk. So sad.

No way this scary looking monkey (and I do stress scary) is waaayy cooler than the elephant rat! Although for the record I like that creature as well. Just cant compete with the evil eyes of mohawk monkey.
All i know is that it was in the sidebar of the site that had the elephant rat... I didn't go so far as to actually research (read) the page I just click on stuff and make snap decisions
Yeah I was disappointed by the lack of mohawkness on such a supposedly mohawked monkey. Poor form internet... you've let me down again
