Good and Bad news

I have some good and bad news.

First, the good news.

I now have a J-O-B. As a Web Developer with MPR Associates, Inc. I'll wear a lot of hats. Updating websites, verifying data, some python coding, content management system stuff, etc...

Where is MPR? You guys know the Shattuck BART station? Right by Washington Mutual? You know that big corporate looking grid like black building? Well, the 8th floor of that bad boy. Kind of odd, I've passed by that thing sooo many times. Hell, it's right around the corner from the YMCA! Right in Downtown Berkeley...which trips me out. I always thought I would steadily move farther and farther away from Downtown Berkeley, but now I'll be working there!

The bad but not so bad:

What does this mean for Project Kiln? Obviously, I won't be able to dedicate as much time to it. But at the same time I would have had to divide my attention both to looking for work while developing the game. I plan on making this project my hobby. I'll post more on this at the Project Kiln blog.

Phew! I can now breath a sigh of relief! Evelyn and I can stay in the Bay and she can continue making progress on thesis. That was my biggest worry.

More to come...

Grats dude! that's so awesome! Looks like perhaps Dan is main programmer now with you to aid him? Maybe we'll all be taking some programming classes this fall lol.

Glad you'll still be in the Bay for now! Now we just have to find Steve a cush teaching job at BCC for when he gets out of school hehe. =D

shit, sounds damn good to me! I had great teachers at BCC, it would be an honor to be among them, and closer to sailboats!

Lorenzo congrats!! I knew that it would work out in the end. Ive been a weird space lately but knowing this helps me to be happy, for the rest of the night, its all good.
Congrats, Congrats, Congrats.

You guys are making a game?!! What the fuck midterms come and I miss everything.

Yay!!! One less jobless bum hehe. I'm really glad that you found something (and relatively quickly too) and that you'll be able to stay in the bay. Congrats! =)

Yeah me and Adam decided that since we don't have jobs anyways we might as well try to do something. Hit up Lorenzo and Dan and they said they'd be down to do something. So we're attempting to make an rpg. Lorenzo is the lead programmer (of course) and Dan is supposed to aid him. More of us will prolly help now that Lorenzo is a productive member of society again, but we'll see how much time Lorenzo has for it and then plan accordingly. (working on it on the weekends maybe?)

Lorenzo does this mean you'll be back at the YMCA?

congrats man... one less person competing against me hehe, not that I'm really anywhere near your league. Good to hear you staying in the bay and things are all back to green.
... ya know if they need anybody else I'm available.... cheap....

also WTF?!?!? I have no idea what I'm doing with all this programing shit... help...
I think we're going to need to sit down some time and find a starting place, I just need a direction to go in and i'll be fine but right now it's a bit overwhelming man
