This little gem was tucked away in some comments on Crooks and Liars. It was from earlier this evening at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, a stop for most presidential candidates. Quote of the night:
"I have never, not once, put lipstick on a pig, or a pitbull, or myself. It's funny because it's true... and so sad...
Rudy Giuliani, that's one for you. Who would have thought a cross dressing mayor from New York City would have a tough time running the republican nomination? It's shocking. That was a tough primary you had their John."

ya but did hear the digs in that McCain got at Obama? It was totally tit for tat, neutralizing any sting Obama truly had.
McCain made me laugh a couple times for sure but not nearly as much as Obama, so I don't know about tit for tat. And they're at a fundraiser so they're both supposed to be making light humor not really "sting"ing each other. Did you watch the last debate? If so, what'd you think?
I watched certain parts but I just couldnt watch the whole thing. At this point I see these two as two sides to the same coin.
Great vid, would have appreciated a link to McCain's video as well. It's hard to really attribute these comments to either candidate because, well, I know they have plenty of writers working for them developing this stuff.
From what I saw at the debates, Obama was much better with the wit. Hwe was able to take jabs at McCain for his consistent references to Joe the plumber, who owes taxes and isn't a licensed plumber.
Through the debates I was very much put off by McCain inability to formulate cohesive responsive to Obama's very eloquent breakdowns of his tax and medicare proposals.
Regardless, this was very entertaining, thanks for posting =)
