Tonight's showing is the movie Beyond the Clouds and will be at 159 Mulford at UCB. Can't quite tell exactly what it's about but it seems an alternate post-ww2 reality with weird stuff going on in Japan. It's gotten decent reviews on AnimeNfo.com: 8.2/10.0 (58 reviews) so we'll be there with bells on. The Director, Makoto Shinkai, has been called the "New Miyazaki", though he says that is an overstatement, we shall see. [via Cal Animage Alpha]p.s. yeah thats why i tried to look for a torrent, so you could check it out too. but i couldn't find one and you're not missing that much anyways. i'm gonna make a post soon about another show i've been watching on my own. that one will have torrents and you should check it out.
