rock show crowd

Found this off of Digg

A breakdown of all the stereotypes who go to Rock shows, semi-funny for me. You guys have more experience with shows, is there validity to these claims?

They seem to be missing the swarm of twelve year olds (not in a show at a bar though...), the people that don't have any concept of "crowd" or "mosh pit" and look really offended if you're within two feet of them, and that guy that smells like some unholy combination of feet and ass and BO and garbage and... toast?

the guy that smells like feet and ass is prolly the scary guy in front. I think there could be some truth to this. I have noticed people at shows just mad and leering at the band and wondered, wtf are you doing here? Ive also noticed the soulless ceo schmucks and the obligatory stuck in 78 guy. I dont really know that most people who go to shows dont really care for the band as this picture portrays (the guy that actually likes the band is all by himself)but it has felt that way at times. I think it depends largely on the band. Obviously if the band hasnt released that much new material in the last few years you tend to see only fans and not so many teeny-boppers but if they just released the second "new release" in 2 years and before that they had been in a slum you tend to get tons of fakers who are just wanted something to do that night. Not sure how or why that works but it seems to be the trend. Interesting post it distracted me very thoroughly. Now back to the grind.

you might be onto something about releasing material. i think the creator of the image must have had one really bad experience though. usually i could give a fuck about the crowd because i'm happy to see the band i came for and i take little to no notice of them. i can honestly say i've never seen all of these types of people at a single show before. usually it would be a herd of one type(like lots of 12 year olds). we could prolly cone up with far more accurate descriptions from our experience. i also think 16 is a dumbass for not stepping up towards the front in open seating. good conversation starter Lorigga =D.
