So I'm taking over my quasi-surprise birthday meal and agreeing with Lisa that it should be a picnic lunch in Tilden and swimming in the duck crap lake or playing frisbee in one of the fields. Not quite barbeque and a stripper, but what can you do? All Cuppers in the Bay are invited (well, all Cuppers are invited, but not expected to come up from LA for a picnic). I figure 1pm to around 4:30 or 5pm would be a good time range. My parents are taking me out to dinner, so I need to go home and un-duck poo myself by 5. I request Fred's Market sandwiches as picnic material.

Ditch Day

where is this fred's market? And whos planning food? I would assume that job falls on Ron...but for some strange reason Lisa was asking me what I thought we should bring.
No one should plan their own bday stuff...I have no problems collaborating with Lisa or Ron or both. As long as everyone knows whats going on.
Fred's Market is on University and MLKish and makes really good giant sandwiches. I'm not real sure about their vegetarian sandwich options, but they also have some crazy-looking middle eastern / mediterranean food in the deli area.
I don't really care about what other food shows up, but someone is in charge of getting a ham and swiss with lettuce. And a frisbee or some form of entertainment. My frisbee thing died when we stayed at Target all night to get the Wiis. =(
