Led Zeppelin Reunion tour footage

I am also the bringer of light...(we all are, we're all also bringers of darkness, but thats a different story...)

[edit: vid go bye bye, hope someone other than me saw it...]

Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven footage, from 07, yeah, this is from their recent reunion tour.

The sound blows (it's just a small mic from a DV camera probably), but I think any fan can appreciate it regardless. I think they've aged quite well.

Also, here's a small clip of the well aged band playing Black Dog.

Thats it. No other links...

wait...

-------------------------------------------------------

update: Here's a link to an article on this whole reunion thing.

-------------------------------------------------------

update 2 apparently it actually took place Dec. 10th. Here's a more recent article about the actual concert and how the band is pretty set on it being a one time benefit gig.

1) The main vid is dead. =(
2) Black Dog was cool, but damn they is old!
3) I would so vote for squirtle if he was running. Personally though I'd rather have bulbasaur for president.

I wish I could see the video Im curious to see if its really Led Zep. For one thing their drummer is dead so it cant be all the band no matter what. For another, their bassist hates Page and Plant because they shunned him after the drummers death. Lastly, if Page and Plant would have gone on tour Im sure I would have heard about somewhere as all my L.A. friends are big Led Zeppelin fans and I heard no word at all. Did the singer look the same? Could it be a cover band. Either way they cant be Led Zep without Bonham. Peace.

Had to add the link cause it wouldn't work properly in the comments.

Apparently it's all part of the space time rift between Ron and I's b-days!

And I quote:
"Goldsmith began negotiating with the managers of the surviving members of Led Zeppelin — Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones — and the manager of drummer Jason Bonham, the son of the late John Bonham, to see if a reunion was possible" quote from linked article in bottom of the post.

Apparently they played London on Nov 26th!

Unfortunately, not a tour, but everyone is raising voices making it known they want one.

ok I just saw the Black Dog video. This is not Led Zeppelin!! But I believe they may be portraying it to be a reunion tour of sorts. Dont know why they didnt just call it Page and Plant the way they used to......theyre being even more presumptuous in their old age, and even more disrespectful to John Paul Jones (the bassist) for carrying on the name without his utterly essential presence. Thats why he got pissed at them in the first place, for creating the Page and Plant band (they came out with like 2 albums in the 80's. and one in the early 90's). Now these fools have the nerve to do it again but with the official title, wow not cool. Still Im very glad you posted it Lorenzo, it was great to see Page all gray haired, and plant all bushy and wrinkled up. Those fools are amazing and timeless as the stars.
Another slick bonus is that I think their drummer is John Bohnams son, which is cool, if there is anyone who can carry the torch its Bohnam jr. Just a shame Paul Jones wasnt included. That guy just cant get a break.

The article I linked to said that John Paul Jones played with Page and Plant. It also confirmed the drummer was Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son) as you indicated.

Did you read it? It's from Rolling Stone.

Ok trip it is Paul Jones. I just read the article but I could tell even before I read it. I rewatched the video and there was one shot in particular where I could definitely see it was him. My bad. He just looks so different! He looks good! I thought it was some studio guy because it seemed to be same laid back dude in his 30s not some aged out rock guy in his 60s. Very cool that they finally squashed beef. It would be nice for a tour but I doubt well ever see it. Theyre too tired to do a tour. Straight up Bonhams son looks more spent than any of them and thats not good at all (Hes in his 40s now Im sure). Being the recovering drug addict that he is, his unreliablity in the past has deterred Paige from signing him full time to be the drummer. I wonder if things have changed. I hope so, but like I said, he looked spent.

It's funny you mention Bonham's son looking spent. While looking for articles, one indicated that Bonham vomited from nerves not but 45 minutes before the performance. That his nervousness almost derailed the whole thing.

No doubt, that must have been a crazy experience...to play in your dad's band who also just happen to have been legends.

I get nervous just thinking about it.

Ya I should cut the man some slack, he is living in a shadow. P.S. Since its the real Zeppelin after all you are officially the bringer of light! Way to be Christ essay!
