Today's cute furry thing is the wombat, fellow Australian marsupial to our good friend the platypus. Wombats are burrowing, primarily nocturnal herbivores and like to feed on grasses, roots and bark, yum yum. They live in south-eastern Australia and Tasmania. When not burrowing or hiding out from dingos and Tasmanian devils, they apparently enjoy sleeping in beanies.
Apparently they have been known to bite and scratch, but I'd still probably try to pet one.

I think the name "Wombat" is fucking cool in it's own right.
It definitely gets bonus points for a cool name. And I don't think I scratch, but I probably bite enough to make up for it.
